Common problems
Most of the times users experience problems with zkimmer, it has to do with their own computer or browser. Below we've listed a few of the most common problems.Email problems when signing up
- If you did not enter your email address correctly, you
cannot complete the signup or upload process. Please sign up again with the
correct email, using a different username.
- If you're sure you entered the signup email correctly
and still haven't received anything, please check your spam
folder.
- If none of the above helps, it's normally because your email provider won't allow our mails to get through to you. Sign up again with a free email from Gmail, Yahoo etc., using a different username.
Browser problems
- Browser plugins may need to be temporarily disabled,
updated or changed (Shockwave, ad-blockers, etc.).
- Browser security levels may be set too high. Try
lowering the security temporarily.
- Safari 2 sometimes has a problem with the javascript
which is used extensively on zkimmer web pages.
- Your browser or browser version might simply not be
supported. Try zkimmer with the free
Firefox. We support common
browsers such as Safari, Internet Explorer and Firefox, and
our software is proven to work on many more.
Other problems
- Anti-virus software may interfere. Try disabling it temporarily.
- If your Internet connection is slow you might experience connection or performance problems. Try again with a faster connection if possible.
- Firewalls, popup-blockers, spyware-filters, IP-filters etc. might also interfere with zkimmer. Make sure they are set up correctly or try disabling them temporarily.
- If you are on a corporate/governmental network, there
might be other restrictions interfering with zkimmer. Try
zkimmer at home instead.
- Sometimes simply trying out zkimmer on another computer is really helpful. Try this if possible.
