Expert Level Knowledge of JavaScript, AJAX, JSON & the DOM
We need extremely talented individuals who eat, sleep and breathe AJAX and JavaScript. Qualified candidates will have an expert level understanding of these technologies and the Document Object Model - on a scale of 1 to 10, you need to be an 11 for this position. The job also requires that you be very knowledgeable on cross-platform, cross-browser compatibility issues - and - fully understand the quirks and differences of how Firefox (Mac & Win), Internet Explorer 7 (Win) and Safari (Mac) handle CSS, JavaScript and the DOM. The application's "back-end" is written in Python / MySQL, so a summary understanding of these, and the LAMP architecture is also expected.
- expert level knowledge of client-side AJAX and JavaScript programming
- complete understanding of how Firefox, IE and Safari browsers handle JavaScript / CSS
- good eye for GUI aesthetics and the ability to write standards compliant and semantic XHTML / CSS
- familiarity with Python and MySQL
- familiarity w/ JavaScript frameworks
